Alice A. Wilton, 81, of 994 Alexandria St., died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Alice was born on March 13, 1936 in West Carthage, the daughter of the late Robert and Carrie (Beck) Adner. She attended schools in Beaver Falls and was a graduate of Carthage High in 1953. She married Patrick A. Wilton on September 25, 1954 at St. Paul's Church in Black River.  Patrick a foreman for the New Jersey National Guard, died on April 18, 2014. Alice was a homemaker and did house sitting with the elderly for many years.

Alice was a member of St. James Church and the Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary and was a past recipient of the "Volunteer of the Year".

She is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Nicholas (Luanne) Cassoni of Carthage, three sons: Leonard Wilton of Volney, Robert (Lori) Wilton of Brooklet, GA and Mark Wilton of Calcium, 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, two brothers: Robert G. Adner of Tonawanda and Andrew D. Adner of Deer River and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Patrick A. Wilton, two infant sons, a brother, James Adner and three sisters, Grace Adams, Irene Bailargeon and Betty Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 29 at St. James Catholic Church in Carthage with the Rev. Donald A. Robinson, Pastor officiating.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home will be on Thursday, September 28 from 4-7pm.
