West Carthage - Anna E. Rounds, 79, of 51 N. Main St., died Thursday, August 18, 2016, at her residence where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Anna was born in Felts Mills on June 28, 1937, the daughter of the late Marshall and Hazel McCarthy Lunderman. She attended schools in Felts Mills, Herrings and Carthage High School. She married David Z. Rounds on March 12, 1955 at the Carthage United Methodist Church. Anna was a homemaker and was an active bowler, bowling in several ladies leagues. She loved fishing, knitting and traveled and supported her husband and team members of the West Carthage Hornets Drill Team competitions.

Anna was a member of the United Community Church of Carthage.


She is survived by her husband, David Z. Rounds of West Carthage, one daughter and her husband: Michelle and Gerry Craig of Effort, PA, three sons and their spouses: David W. (Katherine) Rounds of Charlotte, NC, James D. (Nanette) Rounds of West Carthage and Michael Rounds and his companion Kelly Raap of West Carthage, 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren, one sister: Cyrena Gerber of Natural Bridge, two brothers: Burton (Irene) Lunderman of Champion and James (Velma) Lunderman of Carthage and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Clarence Lunderman and four sisters, Necia McCoy, Lucille MacCue, Keitha Youngs and Norma Borland.


Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with Rev. Jane E. Wagner officiating. Callings hours will precede the funeral service from 1-4pm.
