Obituary
West Carthage - Barbara A. Wlodarek, 79, of 63 Madison St., West Side Terrace, died Monday evening, December 2, 2013, in the Carthage Area Hospital where she has been a patient for a month.
Barbara was born in Brocton, NY, on October 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Niedbalski Wolnik. She was a graduate of Brocton High School. She was married to Arthur Wlodarek and the couple moved to and lived in Great Bend for many years. Mr. Wlodarek died on February 15, 2012.
Barbara worked as a Teacher's Aide with the Great Bend Elementary School for several years. She was an avid bingo player and bowler.
She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 789 of Carthage and the Great Bend Vol. Fire Dept. Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter: Roxanne LeClair of Clarksville, TN, two sons: John Wlodarek of Carthage and Gregory Wlodarek of Watertown, 6 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, a sister and brother: Ester Travis and Joseph Wolnik both of Brocton and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by 3 sisters and a brother.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, December 14th from noon until 3:00pm at the American Legion in Carthage. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
