Belva Ruth Hall, who died peacefully on the evening of October 28, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family.

In accordance with her wishes, private family services will be held, and she will be laid to rest in the Evans Mills Cemetery.

Belva was born on May 5, 1933, in Hounsfield to the late Edwin F. and Edna A. (Augsbury) Fikes. She attended elementary school in Dexter, graduated from Philadelphia High School in 1951, and later attended Watertown School of Commerce. In 1953, she married Lawrence W. Hall. The couple owned and operated the Shamrock Hotel in 1968, and their marriage later ended in divorce.

In 1985, after running a restaurant for 20 years, Belva returned to Philadelphia and began working in the restaurant industry. She purchased the Sahara restaurant in 1989, selling her 60's theme restaurant at the age of 90 in 2023. The kitchen was truly her second home; even with a dedicated staff, she often took the lead in preparing homemade dishes like lasagna, alfredo and she was known for her "veal".

She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and loved to bowl. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. She deeply loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

Belva is survived by her children: Debra L. Clark of Morrisville, Vickie Hall of Cazenovia, P.J. Hall of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Steven L. Hall of Westport, Indiana, and Mark W. Hall of Texas. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her children, Kurt P. Hall and Patti Hall, and her siblings, Walter Fikes, Dale Fikes, Gary Fikes and three grandsons, Scott, Kris and Joe.
