CARTHAGE- Carolyn D. Hamilton, 81, formerly of 222 State Street., Carthage died peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Carthage Area Hospital with her loving daughter at her side.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in the spring in the Sulfur Springs Cemetery.

Carolyn was born on November 11, 1944, to the late Clifford & Dora (Kimmerly) Barndardt. She graduated from Sackets Harbor High School. She was married to the late Lawrence Parks and Gerald Hamilton. She retired as a Quality Control Inspector for Sherwood Medical, in Watertown.

She is survived by her two daughters, Dawn O’Reilly, Carthage; Lori Dusharm, Watertown; her sons, Carl Parks and Lawrence Darrell Parks Jr., both of Arkansas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexander Bugnits, Aidenne Bugnits, both of Poughkeepsie; Liam O’Reilly, Carthage; Bobby Dusharm III, and Dale Dusharm, both of Watertown.

Carolyn enjoyed knitting, bird watching, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
