Carthage - Cecelia M. Arnold, 90, formerly of 539 Adelaide St., passed away on Monday evening, June 27, 2016, in the Country Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Cecelia was born in Carthage on November 11, 1925, the daughter of the late Bert G. and Florence Petrie Greenwood. She married Stanley L. Arnold on March 18, 1944 at the Carthage United Methodist Church. Stanley died on May 27, 2012. Cecelia began her employment at Crown Zellerbach Corp. in 1943 as a bander operator. She retired after 40 years of service as the Converting Shift Supervisor.


Cecelia was a member of the VFW Post # 7227 Auxiliary and former member of the United Community Church.

She is survived by a niece and her husband, Emily and Robert Blaschke of Carthage; a nephew, Mark Arnold of Clifton Springs, a great nephew, Jeffrey (Barb) Kimball of Carthage, 3 great nieces, Chrystal (Jeffrey) Loomis of Carthage, Julie Blaschke and her companion Cal Shaw of Beaver Falls and Shelly Kent of Cicero. A sister, Ruth M. Watson Toth is predeceased.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with Wayne Arnold officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Champion. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
