Obituary


Cheryl Ann (Terry) Fetterly, 70, of 11565 Zecher Road, Carthage,passed away on Saturday, August 10,2024 at her home in Carthage.

Cheryl was born on February 25,1954 in Carthage, the daughter of the late Charles L. and Marilyn (Baker) Terry. She was a 1972 graduate of Carthage Central High School.  She married Richard S. Fetterly on July 4, 1999.  Cheryl worked for over 20 years at Carthage Area Hospital and retired as a certified nursing assistant.

Cheryl lived life to the fullest. She was a tough little sandflatter! She never let anything slow her down and she never missed an opportunity to let people know she loved them. She made friends everywhere she went.

She was an avid shopper, she loved horror movies, and everything Halloween. Her favorite times were spent around a campfire with her " River neighbors" and getting into trouble with her closest girlfriends; Krissy, Joann, and Rhonda.

She is survived by her husband: Richard S. Fetterly of Carthage, her two daughters: Brandy Fetterly (Vince Widrick)of Greenville, SC and Bridget Fetterly (Tanner Widrick) of Deferiet, her stepchildren, Brenda (Steve) Horton of Briar Hill and Greg Fetterly of Hammond, three Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren, two sisters: Deborah Russell of Carthage, and Michelle Terry of Watertown, one brother: Charles (Jane) Terry of Carthage and best friend Kristina Monroe along with several nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Dexter. She is predeceased by two sisters, Sharon Terry and Laurie Sauer.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. The family will be planning a Celebration of Life in October.
