Claire Kenneth Barnhardt II.

POTSDAM- Claire Kenneth Barnhardt II. age 55, formerly of Carthage, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

He was born on August 14, 1970, in Carthage, New York, to the late Claire "Red" and Ruth (Camidge) Barnhardt. He attended Potsdam High School and was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mona R. Ventiquattro Thomas.

Claire enjoyed listening to music and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He was a kind and loving man who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his siblings: Deborah Bousman, Carla Williams, Tina Gokey, and Betty Jo Marhefka.

Services will be held in the spring at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.
