Clay R. Culver, 49, of Copenhagen, passed away on Friday, January 24,2025 at University Hospital SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse.

Clay was born on August 5,1975 in Carthage, NY. He is the son of Carol (Schermerhorn) Nutting and the late Wesley Nutting. He was a graduate of Carthage Central High School.  He married the former Susan M. McGraw on July 19,1997 at St. Peter's & Paul's Church in New Boston. Clay worked at Brownville Paper, Livingston Moving & Storage and Advance Auto Parts in West Carthage.

Clay was a member and Vice President of Tug Hill 4 Wheelers.  He enjoyed 4 wheeling, camping with his family and hunting.

He is survived by his wife: Susan M. Culver of Copenhagen, two daughters: Christy (Jackson) Hetrick of Rutland and Erica Culver of Copenhagen, one son: Tyler Culver (Julianna Cummings) of Copenhagen, two grandchildren; Jason Hetrick and Kiara Hetrick. his mother, Carol Nutting of Carthage, four sisters: Brandy Cleveland of Calcium, Darcy (Arthur) Bowman of Rutland, Amy (Matthew) Burriss of Lowville and Tracey Rivera-Jenkins of Carthage. He is predeceased by his father, Wesley Nutting.
