Copenhagen - Dawn Elaine Strife, 47, of 10120 Washington St., died Monday morning, July 6, 2015, in the Emergency Room of the Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville after being stricken at her residence.
Dawn was born in Watertown on July 15, 1967, the daughter of Stanley C. and Clara Brown Bingham. She was a 1985 graduate of Carthage Central High School and a 1987 graduate of Jefferson Community College. She worked for 27 years as the plant scheduler for Climax MFG in Lowville. She currently was a project manager at NY Air Brake in Watertown. A previous marriage to John Murtha ended in divorce. She married Stephen Strife on June 30, 2001 at the River Valley Inn in Mannsville. Mr. Strife died on September 12, 2006.
She is survived by her daughter: Taylor E. Murtha and her son: Spencer C. Strife, both of Copenhagen, her parents, Stanley and Clara Bingham of Carthage, one brother: Glenn T. Bingham of Carthage and several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and in-laws.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Carthage with Deacon Richard Staab officiating. Burial will be in Black River Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the St. James Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00am - 10:30am.
