CASTORLAND - Dean T. Genito, 64, of Karcher Estates, died early Friday morning, February 21, 2025 at his home.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Carthage Elks Lodge BPOE #1762, Carthage, NY.

Dean was born in Carthage on March 5, 1960, the son of the late Anthony J. and Helen V. (Tabolt) Genito Sr. Dean graduated from Carthage Central High School and went on to college in Utica at SUNY Institute of Technology. He later graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Alfred State.

Dean was the Director of Athletics for the Village of Carthage and was self employed. He was past Commissioner of Jefferson County Little League.

Surviving are his sisters, Mary Ann (Timothy) Boshart of Glenfield; Linda Hynes of Naumburg; Sally Sears of Carthage; Karen (John) Jones of Beaver Falls; Pamela Genito (Timothy Tyner) of Brownville; Annette (Charles) Genito-Sobek of Pulaski; his sister-in-law, Deanna Genito of Carthage; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dean is predeceased by his sister, Nancy Denise, his brother, Anthony, Jr., and three brothers-in-law, Stephen Sears, Robert Hynes and Paul Denise.

In keeping with Dean's wishes, he is to be cremated.  Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
