Carthage - Diane L. Prievo, 66, of 604 Adelaide St., died peacefully, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at her residence where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Diane was born in Montreal, Canada on December 12, 1947, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gisele Belanger Henderson. She was a graduate of Carthage High School. She married David L. Prievo on January 27, 1968 at St. James Church in Carthage. David, a former employee of Climax MFG, died on September 23, 2001.


Diane worked in the office at Climax MFG and Ames Department Store in Carthage before joining Kinney Drugs. She worked several positions including bookkeeper for many years until retiring.

She is survived by one daughter: Julie L. (Mark) Roberts of Carthage, two sons: David (Holly) Prievo of Las Vegas, NV and Shawn (Jessica) Prievo of Camden, 2 grandsons, Mark Roberts Jr. and Charles Roberts, 2 granddaughters Jadyn and Avery Prievo, two sisters: Linda Henderson of Carthage and Carole (Sam) Wormwood of Belfort, one brother: James Henderson and his companion Robin of Carthage and 3 nieces, Samantha, Stephanie and Tracey. She is predeceased by her infant son, Shane T. Prievo and her brother Kenneth Henderson.


In keeping with her wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. The body will be cremated. Funeral arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
