Ernest E. "Pete" Snyder, 71, of Deer River Estates, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his residence after being stricken there.
Pete was born on July 20, 1946 in Lowville, the son of the late Christopher and Anna (Peebles) Snyder. He attended school in Copenhagen. He was previously married to the former Carol Campany. Pete worked for AMF in Lowville, Deer River Lumber Company, Stafford Machinery and retired as a machinist at Black Clawson in Watertown after many years of service.
He played in several bands throughout the north country and loved country music.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Patricia Snyder-Delles of Copenhagen and Mrs. Richard (Tammy) Barnhart of Carthage; one son and his wife: Ricky (Katy) Snyder of Indianapolis, IN; 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Peter Snyder.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life from 4-5pm on Friday, August 4 at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home in Carthage.
