Carthage - Frances Lynnette Trainham, 85, passed away on Monday evening, August 6, 2012, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, James and Elaine Surace on Route 126 while under their care and that of Hospice of Jefferson County.
Mrs. Trainham was born in West Carthage on January 31, 1927, the daughter of the late Hiram P. and Frances L. Huse Cook. She was a graduate of West Carthage High School in 1944. Frances' first marriage to Dominic J. Surace ended in divorce. She later married James (Lonnie) Trainham and he died in 1979. Frances moved during the winter months to Florida in the 70's and then made her home there for the last 10 years. She moved back to Carthage in 2010 to live with her son and daughter-in-law.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James P. and Elaine Surace of Carthage, a granddaughter Kristine L. and her husband Angelo Augustine of Carthage, a grandson Brett J. Surace of Syracuse, her great granddaughters: Kassandra and Katie Augustine and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Her sister, Jeanne A. Derouin is predeceased.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with the Rev. George F. Maroun officiating. Burial will be at the family's convenience. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 11.00 - 1:00pm.
