Gary R. Paul, 77, of 5900 NE 14 ^th Lane, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2019 while under the care of Catholic Hospice at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Gary was born on April 29, 1942, the son of Lemuel Russell Paul and Geraldine Desrosiers Paul. Gary was a 1959 graduate of Carthage Central School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1959. He furthered his education at Hospital Corpsman School in 1960, Blood Band and Clinical Laboratories in 1962 and Petty Officer Leadership School in 1965, finishing 2 ^nd in his class. After his career in the Navy of 7 years, he then worked for Bayer Inc. (Miles Laboratories) and retired after many years as their Northeast Sales Representative.

Among his survivors are his sister, Sharon Paul (David) Johnson of Carthage, a son, Gary R. Paul Jr. (Andrea) of West Linn, Oregon, two daughters, Susan (Robert) Woods of Portsmouth, Virginia and Sharon M. Lowman of Connelly Springs, North Carolina, nephews, Todd W. LaRock, Troy H. LaRock and Travis E. LaRock, all of Carthage, also his niece, Kristina Champ of California and nephew, Eric Rattan of Arkansas and also Jan Petterson, his friend and mutual cat lover. Gary also enjoyed their faithful friendship over many years.

Gary loved his cats, BV and Twinky and loved to grow and fuss with his beautiful orchids. Gary was very proud of his children and his grandchildren.
