Gary Lee Schermerhorn, 60, of Adelaide St., Carthage, died Monday, November 25,2024 at his residence after being stricken there.

Gary was born on January 30,1964 in Carthage, the son of the late Harry M. and Hattie M. (Potter) Schermerhorn Sr. He attended school in Carthage. He worked and traveled with Reithoffer Shows for many years. He returned to Carthage and worked at Ames Dept. Store until its closing. Most recently he was working at Domino's Pizza on Fort Drum until becoming disabled.

He is survived by his six sisters: Ada Segovis of Carthage, Caroline Johnson of FL, Carol Nutting of Carthage, Cindy LaComb of Carthage, Tuesday Houghtaling of NC and Hattie Schermerhorn Jr. of Carthage, one brother: Harry Schermerhorn Jr. of Carthage and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters, Bonnie Phillips, April Davis and Sharon Lalone Sr. and a brother, Larry Schermerhorn and all his beloved fur babies.
