Obituary

CARTHAGE- George Earl Hall, 77, of Limburg Forks Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the Crouse Hospital  in Syracuse, NY.

His services will be held privately by his family, he will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery in Beaver Falls, with the Rev. Todd Thibault, Pastor officiating.

He was born on March 16, 1948, in Carthage, NY. He is the son of the late Henry F. & Normal E. (Hickox) Hall. He grew up in West Carthage and graduated from Augustinian Academy in Carthage in 1966, where he played Basketball. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Army National Guard from 1967 until honorably discharged in 1973. He worked at James River Paper Co. and held various positions from 1966, retiring as a mechanic in 1999 after 33 years of employment.

George was known for his intellect and dry sense of humor. He enjoyed discussing science and philosophy with his children and friends.  He was an accomplished mechanic and could often be found in his garage listening to music while rebuilding vintage muscle cars.  He also enjoyed boating, fishing, spending time with friends, and entertaining his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy (Sabo) Hall of Carthage, his daughters, Michele (Gene) Macaluso, Copenhagen; Nicole (Troy) Fowler, Oswego; and a son, Jessie (Jaime) Hall, Carthage; his grandchildren, Autumn Doner, Peyton & Garret Walker, Gavin & Liam Hall, Nicholas Fowler, his great-grandchildren, Jude & Charlotte Faulkner.  He is also survived by three siblings, Judy Sholette of Ogdensburg, NY; Elizabeth "Nancy" Hall of Carthage, NY; Joe Hall and his wife Elaine of Carthage, NY; a sister-in-law, Joanne Hall, Interlachen, Florida.


In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his brothers, Jack Hall and Richard M. "Rick" Hall and his brother-in-law, Nelson Sholette.
