Gina Marie Lawton

West Carthage- Gina Marie (Ashcroft) Lawton, 54, of 11 Liberty Street, West Carthage, died Thursday evening, June 11, 2026, at St. Joe’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Gina was born on June 14, 1971, in Carthage, the daughter of James B. Ashcroft and the Late Carol Lee "Chip" Bartell Ashcroft. She was a graduate of Carthage Central High School. She married James “Jim” Lawton on June 19, 2016. Gina was a store associate and worked at Circle K in West Carthage.

She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Lawton, West Carthage; her children, James, Sharon, and Loretta, all of Carthage; her father, James B. Ashcroft of West Carthage; three brothers: John W. Ashcroft of West Carthage, Mark A. Ashcroft of Skaneateles, and Lucas B. Ashcroft of Baldwinsville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

Gina was a NASCAR fan.

Calling hours and a Mass will be held at a later date, which will be announced and held at the St. James Catholic Church in Carthage. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, West Carthage.
