Henry (Hank) J. Sylvester, Jr., 72, of Osprey, Florida, formerly of Carthage, passed away on February 10, 2014 at Tidewell Hospice Facility in Sarasota, Florida.
He was born on June 19, 1941 in Carthage, a son of Henry and Rose Sylvester.
He was a 1960 graduate of Augustinian Academy where he excelled in sports.
Hank had been a resident of Florida for the last 12 years. He worked in retail and construction most of his life.
He is survived by a son, Joseph, Orlando, Florida, a brother, James (Carolyn), Sarasota, Florida, and a sister, Susan O'Dell (Bryan) of Natural Bridge, and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be held at a later date in St. James Cemetery, Carthage.
