Obituary

CARTHAGE – James F. Condino, 90, of 224 Spring Street, died Sunday morning, February 19, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Condino was born in Carthage at the family home above the dealership Dominic Condino Motors, Inc., on September 19, 1926. He was the son of the late Dominic and Rose Leana Condino. He graduated from Carthage High School and went to work for his father at the family dealership. He married Margaret K. Millich on May 30, 1955 at St. James Church in Carthage. They made their life-long home on Spring Street. Mrs. Condino died on October 24, 2010.

Jim was proud of outstanding customer service, and excellence in the automotive sales and service at the Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge and Jeep dealership. One of his proudest moments was when the dealership was awarded the Peoples Magazine Award for Outstanding Service. Jim loved doing the books and accounting and could be found at the dealership every day. He always had a special rapport with all his customers. Mr. Condino continued to work at the dealership until the autumn of 2016.

He is survived by his two children, his daughter and her husband, Karen A. and Michael Schepis, Watertown; his son and his wife, James D. and Robin Condino of Carthage; his two grandchildren, Michael Schepis; Jessica and her husband George Stone. He is predeceased by his brother, Anthony J. and wife Mary Condino, and his sister, Marion Storms Foley. Jim cherised the time spent with his family and the grand pups, Angello and Django.

Mr. Condino was a communicant of St. James Church, and past member of the St. James Men's Choir. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Funeral Services will be privately held on Wednesday, at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with Rev. Donald A. Robinson, Pastor of St. James Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Old St. James Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
