Obituary

Jason M. Rennie, 42, of 34211 N. Lake Road, Carthage, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 4, 2018 after suffering a massive heart attack while driving.

Jason was born on September 10, 1975 in Watertown, the son of Michael W. and Barbara (Dealing) Rennie. He attended Carthage Central High School where he graduated Salutatorian of his class in 1993.

His family was his highest priority. He loved hunting and cherished the time he spent with his dad in the woods enjoying the sport they both loved and their time together. Although hunting was a fall sport, it was a year-round conversation in his home where the memories they shared were recalled in the telling.

Golfing was another passion Jason had, beginning with his Junior Championship win at Carlowden Country Club and making the six-man team. He asked his dad to join him in a round of golf and created several years of memories made on the links with mom joining in on the sport as well.

He had a kindness and generosity of spirit to all he came in contact with and was a true and loyal friend.

Jason was an enthusiastic employee of the McDonalds Corporation where he began working when he was sixteen years old and eventually managed his own store. He admired and respected all his co-workers and was always willing to lend a hand when needed.

He is survived by his parents Mike and Barb Rennie of Carthage; his paternal grandmother, Joan Ferris of Carthage and numerous aunts, uncles and beloved cousins. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Beefy and Sylvia Dealing, his paternal grandfather, Verne Rennie, his uncle, Robert Rennie and his great grandparents, Harry and Monica Nevills.

Graveside services will be held in the spring in Maple Hill Cemetery, Rutland. There will be no calling hours or viewing per Jason's request. Funeral arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage. To leave an online condolence, go to www.bezanillafh.com .

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
