Natural Bridge - Jeannette M. Barnes, 68, of 27571 Depot St., died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at her residence where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Jeannette was born in Carthage on February 12, 1946, the daughter of the late William S. and Mae E. Champion Stenoski. She attended Carthage schools. She married Merle E. Barnes on April 8, 1962 in West Carthage. She was a stay at home Mom, raising her children and was a housewife.


She is survived by her husband, Merle E. of Natural Bridge, one son and his fiancé: Lawrence Barnes and Shannon Rogers of Harrisville, three daughters and their husbands: Janette and Jeffrey Doyle of Harrisville, Rebecca and Robin Graves of Watertown and Dawn Barnes of West Carthage, 16 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren, two sisters: Wanda Ordway and Elizabeth Jackson, both of Carthage, four brothers: Steven Stenoski, Lawrence Stenoski and James Stenoski, all of Carthage and Matthew Stenoski of New Bremen and numerous nieces and nephews. A daughter, Marion May Foutes died on May 27, 2013.


A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday at 1:00 PM at the Natural Bridge Community Center. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
