Jeffrey T. Vandewater, 53, of Greig, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Jeffrey was born on October 7,1971 in Carthage, the son of the late Thomas Roy and Karol Anne (Flynn) Vandewater. He and his family moved to Glenns Falls in 1985 and later to Statesville, NC in 1993. Jeff built a career with Sherwin-Williams, managing several stores in the Statesville area. Following the passing of his mother in November of 2023, Jeffrey returned to New York and has lived with his brother, David in the Town of Greig. He was most recently employed with Vandewater & Associates, Inc in Port Leyden.

He is survived by his brother: David P. Vandewater of Greig, one sister and her husband: Rhonda M. (Thomas) Peek of Spruce Pine, NC and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

A combined memorial service for Jeffrey and his mother, Karol, will be held later in the spring, with burial in the family plot in St. James Cemetery, Carthage. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage. To leave a condolence, go to www.bezanillafh.com.
