Carthage - JenNee C. Haley, 75, of 34198 Pleasant Lake Drive, died late Saturday evening, September 28, 2013, in the University Hospital, Syracuse, where she has been a patient for three months.

Mrs. Haley was born in Williamsport, PA on May 23, 1938, the daughter of the late Frank and Leoda Cope DeWalt. She was a graduate of Williamsport High School. She married Jeremiah J. Haley on Dec. 12, 1957 in Williamsport, PA. The couple moved to Carthage in 1964 after Mr. Haley accepted a teaching position with Carthage Central School. She was a stay at home mom and enjoyed reading.


She is survived by her husband, Jeremiah J. Haley of Carthage, a son: Jeremiah Jr. of Watertown, three daughters, Christine Lemon (Richard) of Hailey, Idaho, Margaret McKane (Timothy) Leavenworth, Kansas and Catherine Calender of Carthage, two grandchildren, Kate McKane of Lawrence, Kansas and Joseph McKane of Leavenworth, Kansas, a sister, Joan Hunter (Richard) of Montoursville, PA, a half sister, Donna (Thomas) Hartland of Montoursville, PA and two step brothers, Robert Hall of Montoursville, PA and Richard Hall of Williamsport also brother-in-law Paul Haley (Bonnie) of Ogdensburg, NY and several nieces and nephews.


There will be no funeral services or calling hours at this time. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
