John David "JD" Ralston, 67, a longtime resident of North Washington St., was stricken suddenly and died on Monday, April 10, 2023 at his apartment at 222 State St in Carthage.

John was born on July 10, 1955, the son of the late John F. and Ruby F. Slagle Ralston. He attended Augustinian Academy until its closing and later graduated from Carthage Central High School. John worked for several manufacturing companies which specialized in small electric motors and worked at Northland Electric in Watertown where he was a shipping and receiving clerk. He moved to California and worked for many years until his father's ill health brought him back to Carthage to help with his care.

JD was a Los Angeles Rams fan and an avid music lover, especially Rock and Roll.

He is survived by his brother and his life partner, Mark Ralston and Tracy Fowler of Watertown and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
