Lance Joseph Rumney, 57, formerly of Carthage, passed away on Thursday, May 2,2024 in Orlando, Florida.

Lance was born on October 3,1966 in Watertown, the son of the late Jene and Arlene (Goodridge) Smith Rumney. He attended school in Carthage. He worked for many years for Reithofer Shows, traveling all over the United States. He eventually worked construction in Michigan for several years before landing in the Orlando Florida area. He was currently working construction as a supervisor for Trinity One, a concrete-masonry company in Orlando.

Lance was an avid NASCAR fan, loved playing cards and in his early years, enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

He is survived by his three sisters: Rhonda Brown of Lowville, Cindy Rumney of Watertown and Lynette Gates of Great Bend, one brother: Paul Rumney of Harrisville and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother, Eric Rumney.
