Lowville

Lou Ann Derouin, 63, of 9664 East Road, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at her residence.

Lou was born February 17, 1954 in Carthage, the daughter of the late David P. and Bette J. (Hoch) Tooker. She attended Beaver River Central School and graduated from South Lewis Central in 1972. After graduation, she was employed at Grants in Lowville, Lloyds of Lowville, the former Crown Zellerbach Corp. in Carthage and later Nice and Easy and Dunkin Donuts until her retirement in 2016.  Lou and Jack Derouin resided together for 13 years before being married on March 9, 2005 in Watertown.

She is survived by her husband: Jack Derouin of Lowville, one daughter and her husband: Christy and Darrin Cole of Lowville; four grandchildren; Chelsea, Haley, Peyton and Dawson Cole all of Lowville; three sisters: Debbie Owens of Watertown and Peggy Tooker and Mary (David)Traylor all of Carthage; one brother: Dennis (Julie) Tooker of Castorland and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Her brother, David P. Tooker II died on March 19, 2014.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 25th from 12-1pm at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage where a prayer service will be held at 1pm. Immediately following the prayer service there will be a "Celebration of Life" service at the American Legion Post # 789 of Carthage where all are invited.
