Obituary

Lucille R. Pike, 79, of 531 Francis St., Carthage died Thursday morning, October 11, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse where she has been a patient since August 27 th .

Lucille was born on July 7, 1939 in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Louis and Francesca (Manginelli) Genito. She attended schools in the Bronx. She married James Pike on July 20, 1957 in Carthage.  She was employed at the former Gilbert's Laundry and for many years worked in the cafeteria at Augustinian Academy. She was a tireless volunteer for St. James Church, the St. Joseph's Workers and the St. James Fair.

She is survived by her husband: James Pike of Carthage, one daughter: Francesca Kuehnle of Carthage, a son and his wife: James and Yvonne Pike of Clayton; three grandchildren; Anthony Pike, Joseph Kuehnle and Rebecca Kuehnle; one sister: Madeline Tevere of California and her brother: Rev. Joseph Genito OSA of Pennsylvania.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 18 at St. James Catholic Church with her brother, Rev. Joseph Genito OSA officiating.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Carthage. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am.
