Marilyn C. Gurnett, 94 of Sun City West, Arizona, formerly of Carthage, New York, passed on Dec 5,2023 in Arizona.

Born February 8,1929 in Coshocton, Ohio, she was the oldest daughter of Charles and Marvel Michael Curbeau.  She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1947.

She was a supervisor for the New York Telephone Company and later married Thomas F. Gurnett of Carthage on July 8,1955.

She and her family relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1982 and eventually retired to Sun City West, Arizona in 1995.

She is survived by her daughters Karen G. (Jeffrey) Robinson, Mesa, Az, Martha J. (Alex) Waicelunas, Peoria, Az and Tracy A. (Brad) Roosma , Austin, Tx. And granddaughters Eliza Rae Robinson, Chelsea Ann (JR) Rodriguez and Lexie Jayne Robinson. Great granddaughters Jolie Ann Rodriguez and Nora June Rodriguez.

She is predeceased by her husband Thomas F. Gurnett, a son Gregory Thomas Gurnett and her sisters, Emily Green, LaDonna Ellis, Norma Lumley and Joyce Farley and a brother Charles Curbeau.

Local arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery at the convenience of the family in the Summer of 2024.
