Marjorie M. O'Shaughnessy, 96, formerly of Herrings, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at Country Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Carthage.
Marjorie was born May 27, 1920 in Carthage, the daughter of the late George and Rose (Schermerhorn) Rushlow. She married Charles J. "Buck" O'Shaughnessy on June 12, 1941 at the Carthage United Methodist Church. Mr. O'Shaughnessy, a longtime employee of the Crown Zellerbach Corp. died on March 22, 1984. Margie was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons: Terry O'Shaughnessy of Deer River, Donald O'Shaughnessy of West Carthage and Patrick O'Shaughnessy of Herrings, 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and several Great Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her son, William O'Shaughnessy, a daughter, Kathy L. O'Shaughnessy, a brother, Gilbert Rushlow and her sister, Marion Rushlow.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 11 at Sunnyside Cemetery, Naumburg. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
