Mary H Holliday, a longtime resident of Carthage & lifetime communicant of St. James Minor Parish, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening August 14, 2024 at Samaritan Summit Village surrounded in love and prayers by family. She was 101 years old.

Mary was born February 22, 1923, in Utica NY, the daughter of the late Joseph E and Anna M Kogut Schreck. She graduated from Augustinian Academy in 1941 and was united in marriage to Carlyle Holliday on February 7, 1948.

Mary worked various Jobs in the Carthage Area including Crown Zellerbach Corp., She was also a lunch monitor for many years at Carthage Elementary School and then providing home care to the Clark Family.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan (Ed) Mayuic of Watertown NY. 3 grandchildren, Maryann, Stephanie and Heather, 8 Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, 2 brothers, John and Staff Sgt. Joseph Schreck, and 4 sisters Theresa Wojtowicz, Alice Burrell, Helen Archer & Dorothy Smith.

Friends may call on the family, Saturday, August 17, 2024, at St. James Church, State St. Carthage from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated immediately following at 1:00pm.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery following Services.
