Austintown, OH - Nathan LeRoy Gates Jr., 59, of Austintown, OH, died Friday, November 28, 2014, at his residence in Austintown, OH where he was under the care of his family and Hospice.

Nathan was born in Carthage, NY on October 26, 1955, the son of Nathan LeRoy and Juanita Gill Gates Sr. He attended Carthage Schools. He served in the Army from 1975 to 1983. He married the former Teresa A. Hubbard on May 2, 1975 in Carthage. They moved to Ohio several years ago and Nathan worked as a salesperson for several companies in the insurance industry.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa A. Gates of Austintown, OH, three daughters: Jeni E. Didiano and Audrey A. Gates, both of Austintown, OH and Juli E. Blake of Niles, OH, three sons: Nathan L. Gates III of Girard, OH, Matthew J. Gates of Austintown, OH and Ethan J. Gates of Youngstown, OH, his mother: Juanita LaVancha of Great Bend, 14 Grandchildren, two sisters: Donna D. Mono of Carthage, DeEtta D. O'Neil of Great Bend, one brother: Rick D. Gates of Great Bend and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Duane A. Gates.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Bradstreet officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Natural Bridge. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12.00pm - 2:00pm.
