Noreen A. Tanoury-Hall, 76, of Champion St., West Carthage, passed away early Sunday morning, December 29,2024 at the Carthage Area Hospital after a brief illness.

Noreen was born on April 1,1948 in West Carthage, the daughter of the late John F. and Bernadette A. (Astafan) Tanoury. She and her future husband Lawrence A. Hall Jr. were both 1966 graduates of Augustinian Academy in Carthage. Noreen graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Potsdam State in 1970. She received her master's degree in 1973 from Oswego State. She was united in marriage to Lawrence A. Hall Jr. on February 15,1975 at St. James Church in Carthage. Noreen was an elementary teacher for the Carthage Central School District for 33 years. Larry was employed for the NYSDOT as a bridge Inspector for 36 years, and they both retired in 2003. They spent many a winter at their seasonal residence in Sebastian, Florida and enjoyed the summers at the family camp in Oswegatchie, NY.

Noreen was active at one time with the Red Hat Society, and she travelled to many overseas places with her traveling companions, Ruth Bezanilla, Marcia Blunden and Kathleen Tyler. Her memberships included the Traveling Club, St. James Church and the Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by her husband: Lawrence A. Hall Jr. of West Carthage and her daughter: Nicole T. Hall of Rensselaer, NY.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 3 at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home in Carthage with Rev. Canon Samuel Lundy officiating.
