PATRICK J. MULVANEY

Patrick J. Mulvaney of Deferiet, NY passed away on August 3, 2017. Born on April 26, 1959 in Carthage, NY to Donald and Marie Mulvaney, Pat was a fixture in his community. He had a lifelong love of automobiles, and could often be found spending time in his garage restoring Volkswagons.

Pat graduated from Carthage Central High School in 1978, while there he attended the BOCES program. Building on those experiences and his lifelong love of metal work, he went on to become a skilled welder by trade. He worked for many years at Champion Paper Mill in Deferiet, NY. In addition to his love of Volkswagons, Pat also enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Marie, and two sisters, Donna Dusharm and Sarah Osborne. He is survived by his loving partner of 34 years, Joann Harrington. Three children, Melody (Paul) Portillo of Shoreline, WA, Jessica Tiff of Carthage, NY and Zackery Mulvaney of Syracuse, NY as well as 4 beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Dennis Mulvaney of Carthage, Ronald (Cindy) Mulvaney also of Carthage, two sisters, Brenda (David) Dusharm of Black River and Debra (Frank) Stein of Phoenix, AZ, and two brothers-in-law Larry Dusharm of Carthage, NY and Jim Osborne of Tennessee as well as several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside service will be held at Lewisburg Cemetery on November 11, 2017.
