Herrings

Patrick W. O'Shaughnessy, 66, of 35835 Route 3, died Monday morning, October 16, 2017 at Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown.

Patrick was born October 22, 1950 in Carthage, the son of the late Charles J. and Marjorie (Rushlow) O'Shaughnessy. He attended Carthage schools. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from May of 1970 to November of 1971.  He was employed by DPW for the Village of Herrings for many years, was a self-employed handyman and did maintenance for the Herrings Inn.

He is survived by his two brothers: Terry L. O'Shaughnessy of Deer River and Donald G. O'Shaughnessy of West Carthage, a nephew whom he resided with, Eric O'Shaughnessy of Herrings and several other nieces and nephews.

A brother, William O'Shaughnessy died on April 8, 2004 and a sister, Kathy L. O'Shaughnessy died on February 20, 2007.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 23 at Sunnyside Cemetery, Naumburg. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
