Rickie H. Gagnon, 58, of Dothan, Alabama, died Monday, October 13th at his residence in Alabama where he was under the care of Hospice.

Rickie was born in Carthage on July 10, 1956, the son of the late Norman Gagnon Sr. and Patricia Lewis Gagnon. He was a 1974 graduate of Carthage Central High School. He went to work for the former St. Regis Paper Company in Deferiet and worked at his family's business, Gagnon's Sunoco in Great Bend. He enrolled in the Airframe and Power Plant School in Utica and graduated with honors. His career path took him to Alabama where he was a traveling airline inspector, working for PEMCO for many years until his illness. A previous marriage to the former Connie Shaw ended in divorce.

He is survived by his 4 children, Shaun, Shannan and Joleigh, all of Columbia, S. Carolina, and Jesse of Florida, 9 grandchildren, his mother, Patricia Gagnon of Carthage, 3 brothers, Norman Jr. of Theresa, Gregory of Lake Bonaparte and Brian of Carthage, 1 sister, Debra Green of Watertown and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A brother, Michael Gagnon died in 2008.

Private graveside services will be held at the family plot in Sunnyside Cemetery, Great Bend. There will be no calling hours. Local arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
