Robert F. LaClair, 61, of Copenhagen, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville.

Bob was born on May 31, 1956 in Ogdensburg, the son of the late Robert and Joan (Gardner) LaClair.  He was a graduate of Massena High School. He served in the Army for over ten years before suffering a heart attack and being medically discharged. He attended college under the GI Bill at Potsdam and Oswego State Universities. He married the former Judy Stinson on June 9, 1984 at Fort Drum. Bob held several jobs throughout his life, with the last working at Big Apple Music in Watertown. He loved to bowl, golf and ski, both water and snow and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson anywhere the wind blew.

Bob's memberships include the New Testament Fellowship Church, VEMA which stands for veteran's enforcers motorcycle association and the 700 Club of Watertown

He is survived by his wife: Judy of Copenhagen, a daughter: Celina LaClair of Colorado, a son: Ryan LaClair of Junction City, KS;  a step son, John (Amanda) Chereshnoski of Copenhagen, a step daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Sandra) Wingender of Omaha, NE,  10 Grandchildren,  four sisters: Mrs. Wayne (Kathryn) Arthurs, Mrs. Dave (Lynn) Kerr and Mrs. Michael (Leslie) Brewer all of Canada and Mrs. Paul (Sarah) McCoy of Colorado: a brother: Aimee LaClair of Colorado and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 28 at the New Testament Fellowship Church, 24441 State Rt. 12 in Watertown with Pastor Matthew Young officiating. Calling hours will be Saturday from 1-3pm at the church. Funeral arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
