Robert James Swain

Watertown- Robert James Swain, who passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY, at the age of 68. Robert was born on August 17, 1957, in Watertown, NY, to the late Floyd Litz and Barbara Swain. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1974 and worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Mercy Hospital until the hospital's closure. 

He is survived by his loving companion, Pauline Harrington of Watertown; his children, Charmaine Harper of Pennsylvania and Tara Jean Harff of Ohio; his two grandsons, Escotoyell and Jason; and his three great-grandchildren, Sylis, Leo and Samuel. 

Robert loved to fish, enjoyed playing FarmVille, and cherished time spent at home and during family gatherings. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. Per his wishes, services will be held privately by the family, and his ashes will be scattered in the Grand Canyon.
