Carthage - Ryan Duffy Abel, 23, of 33512 State Rt. # 26, died Friday morning, September 12, 2014 at his residence.

Ryan was born in Carthage on August 9, 1991 the son of the late Duffy E. and Teal J. Versage Little. He was a 2009 graduate of Carthage Central High School and was a Boys State recipient. He was currently studying Liberal Arts at JCC and in his final semester. He has worked as a stock clerk with Price Chopper in West Carthage for a number of years. His father, Duffy E. Little died on March 30, 1997.


Ryan enjoyed drawing and online gaming. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #798 of Philadelphia.

Ryan is survived by his mom and stepdad, Teal and Timothy Abel of Carthage, one sister: Erika Little Aspe of California, two brothers: Brandon Little of California and Christian Abel of Carthage, a Paternal Grandmother, Judith Abel of Fremont, OH; a Maternal Grandmother, Rebecca Versage of Bath, NY; two Aunts, Dawn Flecha of Kentucky and Becky Fuller of Virginia; an uncle, Osbardo Flecha of Fremont, OH, a niece and a nephew. He is predeceased by his father, Duffy E. Little, his Maternal Grandfather, Anthony Versage, his Paternal Grandfather, Donald Abel, two uncles, Michael Anthony Versage and Davey Little and two infant uncles.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, September 17th from 2-4pm at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home. The body will be cremated.
