Philadelphia — Sabrina Marie Jenne, 48, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 18, 1977, in Gouverneur, NY, to Jean McEathron.

Per her wishes, services will be held privately by her family.

Sabrina graduated from Indian River High School in 1996. On August 29, 1998, she married Cole Jenne in Philadelphia, New York. Over the years, Sabrina held several roles within the community. While in school, she was a local newspaper carrier and a waitress at the local diner. After graduation, she worked as a childcare provider at the CAPC in Watertown. Following the birth of her daughters, she worked at Dollar General, Jreck Subs, and as a food service worker for the Indian River School District. Her final position was at Stewart’s Shops, where she cherished seeing her regular customers every day.

Sabrina was a devoted crafter who explored every medium. She loved participating in craft shows and was particularly fond of crocheting. In recent years, she became highly skilled with her Cricut maker, creating custom t-shirts, trivets, bookmarks, cards, and mugs. Her imagination knew no bounds. Additionally, Sabrina was a proud 30-year member of the Philadelphia Volunteer Fire Department.

She is survived by her husband, Cole Jenne; Philadelphia; her children, Harlie Marie (Anthony) Turner of Philadelphia, NY, and Riana Rose (Mark) Jenne of Watertown, NY; and her siblings, Donald (Tara) Backus, Jr. of Rossie, NY, Crystal Heidental of Williamsburg, VA, and John Fawkes Goodale of Newport News, VA. She is also survived by one grandchild, Owen Turner, and her niece Alexis Backus.

In lieu of cut flowers, Sabrina requested potted plants. These will be planted in her own flower beds, as well as the Village flower beds on the Island and Kent Lane, so the community may enjoy them in her memory. If you would also like to donate in Sabrina's name, please consider the Philadelphia Volunteer Fire Department or Hospice of Jefferson County.

Arrangements are under the care of the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, 518 State Street, Carthage, NY 13619. Online condolences may be shared at www.bezanillafh.com.
