Sandra L. Cook, 64, of 35052 NYS Rt. # 3, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, December 21, 2016 in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse where she has been a patient for one month.
Sandra was born July 14, 1952 in Carthage, the eldest of four daughters of the late Natalie T. and Evelyn M. (Heesh) Bagnato Jr. She was a 1970 graduate of Augustinian Academy, Carthage and Jefferson Community College, receiving her degree in Secretarial Science. She married Fredrick R. Cook on August 3, 1996 in South Edwards, NY. She was employed for over 20 years on Fort Drum, primarily as a medical clerk at MEDDAC and retired in 2014.
Sandra enjoyed reading, craft and yard sales, animals of all kinds and time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband: Fredrick R. Cook of Deferiet; her three sisters and their spouses: Debra (Frank) Battista and Susan (Frank) Gokey, all of Watertown and Kathy (Robert) Gurley of Herrings and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no calling hours or visitation. Private burial will be in Felts Mills Cemetery at the family's convenience. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage. Memorial contributions may be made to Crouse Hospital, 736 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210.
