Sandra E. Worden, 79, formerly of the Pennock Road, Great Bend, died Friday evening, January 12,2024 at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown.

Sandra was born on September 10,1944 in Carthage, the daughter of the late Lyle and Amelia (Gondeck) Thomas. She was a 1962 graduate of Carthage Central High School.  She married Dexter D. Worden on February 15, 1964. Dexter passed away on November 26, 2022.

Sandra was employed at the Carthage Area Hospital where she worked as a surgical technician for 10 years, all while raising her family.  She enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's school functions and athletic games.

She is survived by one daughter and her husband: Linda and Sam Weaver of Hartford, VT and one son and his wife: Dexter and Jaye Worden of Adams Center, her three grandsons, Jacob, Jonathon and Jackson Worden, a brother, Kevin (Linda) Thomas of Great Bend, a sister, Penny Ring and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Linda Moseley.

In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home in Carthage.
