Obituary
Carthage - Sharon E. Dekin, 75, of 600 S. Washington St. Apt. #76, died peacefully Sunday morning, December 20, 2015 at her residence.
Sharon was born in Carthage on August 22, 1940, the daughter of the late Clyde and Rachel Peets Johnson. She attended Carthage schools. She was married to George E. Dekin on June 30, 1984 in Carthage. She worked for 16 years at the former Braman Manufacturing in Carthage.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Carthage.
She is survived by her husband, George E. Dekin of Carthage, one daughter: Brenda Gydesen of Glenfield, 2 Grandsons, 3 brothers: Nolan Johnson of Watertown, Randy (Kathy) Johnson of West Carthage and Clyde Wayne Johnson of Carthage, a half brother, Valence Peets of Dadville, a sister-in-law: Ramona Forcier of Carthage and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Gaylord and Dale Johnson died previously.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David J. Allison officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. Calling hours at the Church will be on Wednesday from 12-2pm.
