Carthage - Susan M. Pinkham, 53, of 849 Parham St., died unexpectedly, Sunday afternoon, March 15, 2015, at her home.
Sue was born in Carthage on September 8, 1961, the daughter of William L. and Sandra Orton Tucker. She was a 1979 graduate of Watertown High School. She married Gregory C. Pinkham on March 15, 1980 in Carthage. She worked previously at P&C Foods and Black River Oil Company before joining the Carthage Federal Savings and Loan on February 1, 1988. During her 27 year career with the bank, she started as a Teller, transferred into New Accounts and finally into the Accounting Department. She was named Assistant Treasurer in January of 2003.
She was a former board member of the Carthage Free Library and loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading and fishing.
Sue is survived by her husband, Gregory C. Pinkham of Carthage, one daughter and her husband: Sarah and Mark McGough of Elyria, OH, one son and his wife: Robert and Jane Pinkham of Lowville, 5 grandchildren, Brooklynn, Colton and Jackson Pinkham and Ian and Connor McGough, her father and his wife, William L. (Kathleen) Tucker of Carthage, her mother, Sandra O'Connor of Florence, SC and her siblings, Mrs. Tracy (Neil) Sudduth of Texas, Scot (Heather) Tucker of Utica and Stephen Tucker of Great Bend.
In keeping with Sue's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. The body will be cremated. Funeral arrangements are with the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home, Carthage.
