Tracy A. Sears, 54, of the 14325 Parks Road, Harrisville, was stricken suddenly and later died in the emergency room of the Carthage Area Hospital, on Wednesday afternoon, February 7, 2024.
Tracy was born on July 18,1969 in Carthage, the daughter of the late David J. Sears and Kathleen (Ormiston) Sears Countryman. She was a 1987 graduate of Carthage Central High School. Tracy worked at Sherwood Florist in Watertown for 13 years before taking a position with the Town of Wilna Housing Authority. She was currently the Public Housing Manager for the Housing Authority.
Tracy's hobbies included kayaking, gardening, fishing, all things outdoors and she loved sitting in the sun by the pool.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Kaitlin M. and Christian Andersen of West Haven, UT; her grandson, Elijah Andersen, her mother Kathleen Countryman of Carthage; her sister: Janet Sears of Carthage, her brother: Jason (Michelle) Sears of Rutland, her fiancé, Scott Halberg and his daughter, Lacey (Mike) Gummel of Carthage, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 13 from 2pm-5pm at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home in Carthage. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the calling hours at Busted Grapes Winery, Ball Road, Rutland
