Munns Corners - Vincent J. Kochubinski, 79, of 35357 Co. Rt. 36, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at his residence.
Vincent was born in Carthage on December 15, 1936, the son of the late John and Bernice Atomborski Kochubinski. He was a graduate of Carthage High School. He joined the U.S. Army and served from 1954-1957 as a military policeman. After his service, he worked for the St. Regis Paper Company in Deferiet. For over 25 years he was employed at Fort Drum as a security guard, many of those years, securing the ammunition depot on the base.
He was a life member of the N.R.A. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, cutting wood and four wheeling.
Vincent is survived by his two sisters: Dorothy Napoli of East Syracuse and Carol Lozo of Munns Corners, a brother: John Kochubinski of East Syracuse, a 1/2 brother, Daniel Grinter of Snydersville, PA and nieces and nephews. A brother Carl Kochubinski died on December 14, 2003 and a 1/2 brother, Donald Golden is deceased.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 3:00 PM at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home with Deacon Richard Staab officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. Calling hours will precede the funeral services at the funeral home from 1-3pm on Monday.
