CARTHAGE, NY — Wanda Violet Ordway, 63, of 23502 Boyd Road, Carthage, NY, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at home where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Wanda was born Aug. 30, 1953, in Carthage, the daughter of the late William and Mae ChampionStenoski.
She married Rodney N. Ordway on Sept. 17, 1969, in Bath, NY. The couple moved back to Carthage in 1994. Rodney died on June 9, 2008.
Wanda was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by three daughters, Maria E. Ordway, LaFargeville, Rose C. Ordway of Carthage and Angeline M. Ordway, Harrisville; two sons, Rodney E. Ordway Jr. of Addison, NY and William Ordway, Carthage; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Jackson, Carthage; four brothers, Steve, James and Lawrence Stenoski, all of Carthage and Matthew Stenoski of Lowville; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, in Fairview Cemetery in Carthage. A calling hour will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home.
